Therapeutic Yoga

Healing Through Mindful Movement

As both a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200), I integrate evidence-informed, trauma-informed yoga practices into therapy when they align with your goals and comfort level.

Trauma often affects more than our thoughts—it shapes how we experience our bodies, our breath, and our sense of safety. Therapeutic yoga offers a gentle way to reconnect with yourself through mindful movement, breath awareness, and present-moment attention.

This is not a traditional yoga class, nor is there any expectation to be flexible, athletic, or experienced with yoga. Every practice is adapted to your individual needs, emphasizing choice, curiosity, and nervous system regulation rather than performance.

Therapeutic yoga can be a powerful complement to EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic therapy, and mindfulness, helping bridge the connection between insight and embodied healing.

A Personalized Approach

Not every client will incorporate yoga into therapy, and that's okay. Together, we'll determine whether therapeutic yoga is an appropriate part of your treatment plan based on your goals, preferences, and comfort level.
