You’ve Been Strong Long Enough

If your nervous system has been living in survival mode for years, it makes sense that anxiety, exhaustion, or emotional numbness may feel like constant companions.

Healing does not happen through insight alone.

At The Rising Sol, therapy focuses on helping the nervous system find regulation, safety, and integration through approaches such as somatic therapy, EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), mindfulness, and ketamine-assisted psychotherapy.

Many of the patterns that feel frustrating today once helped you survive difficult experiences. Therapy can help your system learn that it no longer has to stay stuck in those patterns.

You do not have to carry everything alone anymore.

Who This Work Is For

This work may be a good fit if you:

• struggle with anxiety, chronic stress, or emotional overwhelm
• feel stuck in survival mode or constantly “on edge”
• feel numb, disconnected, or shut down emotionally
• grew up with relational trauma, abuse, or unpredictable environments
• find yourself repeating painful patterns in relationships
• understand your patterns intellectually but still feel stuck
• feel exhausted from always being the strong one

Many people who seek this work are high functioning on the outside while feeling overwhelmed internally.

Healing becomes possible when both the mind and the nervous system are included in the process.

How Trauma Affects the Nervous System

Trauma is not just something that happened in the past.
It is something the nervous system continues to hold in the present.

When the body experiences overwhelming or prolonged stress, the nervous system adapts in order to survive. Even long after the danger has passed, your system may remain stuck in protective survival responses such as:

• fight
• flight
• freeze
• collapse

These responses can show up as anxiety, hypervigilance, emotional shutdown, people-pleasing, or difficulty feeling safe in relationships.

These patterns are not character flaws. They are intelligent adaptations your nervous system developed to protect you.

Therapy can help your system gradually learn that it is safe to move out of survival mode and into greater regulation, resilience, and connection.

About My Approach

My approach to therapy is both professional and deeply human.

As a licensed professional counselor specializing in trauma therapy, I integrate evidence-based approaches with a holistic understanding of how trauma impacts the mind, body, and nervous system.

I also bring lived experience navigating the complexities of healing, which allows me to understand how heavy and isolating carrying unresolved pain can feel.

Therapy at The Rising Sol is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in the belief that meaningful change becomes possible when people feel safe enough to explore their experiences with honesty and curiosity.

Healing is not about fixing what is broken.

It is about reconnecting with the parts of yourself that had to go quiet in order to survive — and allowing them space to come back into the light.

Healing is Possible.

You can feel safe in your body, release the weight of old wounds, and create lasting change. If you’re ready to break free from patterns that no longer serve you and step into a more aligned and empowered life, let’s get started—your next chapter begins here.
