Reiki

Sometimes healing doesn't require more talking, analyzing, or trying to figure things out. Sometimes it begins with slowing down, turning inward, and allowing yourself to simply be.

Reiki is a gentle, energy-based practice rooted in the Japanese tradition of supporting balance and well-being. It is based on the idea that working with the body's energy can encourage a greater sense of harmony, relaxation, and connection.

During a Reiki session, you are invited to step away from the demands of everyday life and into a space where you can rest, become more aware of your internal experience, and reconnect with yourself.

You don't need to know what you are feeling, have a specific intention, or arrive with something to work on. There is nothing to accomplish and no right or wrong way to experience a session.

What to Expect During Reiki

Reiki sessions take place in a calm, supportive environment where you can relax and turn your attention inward. The practice may involve gentle hands-on touch or hands held just above the body, depending on your preferences and comfort level.

People experience Reiki in different ways. Some notice a deep sense of relaxation, warmth, or subtle physical sensations. Others experience emotional shifts, a quieter mind, or simply an opportunity to rest without expectations. You may notice very little during a session, and that is okay, too.

The intention is not to force a particular outcome but to create space for rest, awareness, and reconnection.

Reiki May Support You In:

  • Creating space for relaxation and stress relief

  • Developing a deeper connection with yourself and your body

  • Cultivating a sense of balance and well-being

  • Slowing down when life feels overwhelming

  • Exploring a complementary approach to personal growth and self-care

  • Making time for stillness, reflection, and restoration

An Integrative Approach to Healing

At Rising Sol, I recognize that healing can take many forms. While therapy often involves exploring patterns, processing experiences, and creating meaningful change, other practices offer an opportunity to step out of the analytical mind and into a more receptive, present-moment experience.

Reiki can complement other mind-body practices, including mindfulness, meditation, and somatic work. Rather than replacing medical care or evidence-based mental health treatment, it can serve as a complementary practice for those who are curious about exploring another dimension of well-being.

You don't have to understand everything that happens within you to make space for a different experience.

Sometimes, the most meaningful thing you can do is pause, receive, and allow yourself to be present.

Reiki and Breathwork

Reiki can be especially complementary when combined with breathwork. While Reiki offers an opportunity to rest, receive, and turn inward, intentional breathing can help deepen body awareness and create space to connect with your internal experience.

Together, these practices offer an integrative approach to self-exploration, relaxation, and restoration. The combination invites you to move beyond the thinking mind, become more present with yourself, and experience a different way of engaging with your own well-being.

Every experience is unique, and sessions are guided by your comfort, needs, and intentions.

Your Beliefs, Your Choice

Reiki is an optional part of the services offered at The Rising Sol. I respect that people hold different beliefs, perspectives, and levels of comfort with energy-based practices.

Reiki is never incorporated into a session without your explicit permission. Your consent and autonomy are essential, and you will never be expected to participate in a practice that doesn't align with your beliefs or feel right for you.

Healing is not one-size-fits-all. My approach is rooted in meeting you where you are and honoring your right to choose what feels aligned with your personal values and preferences.
