Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Changing the Patterns That Keep You Stuck

Our thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and physical responses are deeply connected. Sometimes the beliefs we've developed through painful experiences become automatic, shaping the way we see ourselves, others, and the world.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) helps identify these unhelpful thought patterns and replace them with perspectives that are more balanced, accurate, and compassionate. While we cannot always control what happens to us, we can learn to recognize the stories our mind tells us and choose responses that better serve who we want to become.

Together, we'll explore the connection between your thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and nervous system. You'll learn practical skills to challenge self-critical thinking, reduce anxiety, improve emotional regulation, and respond more intentionally rather than react automatically.

CBT can be especially helpful for anxiety, depression, stress, perfectionism, self-esteem concerns, and life transitions.

At The Rising Sol, CBT is rarely used in isolation. Instead, it is thoughtfully integrated with somatic therapy, mindfulness, attachment work, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and EMDR. This allows us to address not only the thoughts happening in your mind, but also the experiences stored within your body and nervous system.

Insight is important—but lasting healing happens when both the mind and body begin working together.
